Together, we will explore how listening, thought, word, and deed reflect and shape the fullness of who we are. Every other week, we'll come together as a whole group to learn and share ways we can cultivate inner qualities like acceptance, generosity, forgiveness, and gratitude. During the Òoff weeks,' you will meet with assigned study partners to explore and discuss Jewish texts. Using Ruchi Koval's Soul Construction: Shape Your Character Using 8 Steps from the Timeless Jewish Practice of Mussar as the starting point, Rabbi Rachel Schmelkin leads this 10-week group through a series of practices to strengthen your ethical and spiritual self. The group will meet in person during Mondays@Macomb every other week, and in the off weeks will arrange for independent small group sessions on their own.
