But if you are reading this on Opposite Day, then it's actually Not Opposite Day ShabbatÉ except that would technically mean you're reading it on Not Opposite Day, which makes it Opposite Day Shabbat again. __ Either way, prepare yourself for the most confusingly fun Shabbat you've ever attended. We'll be flipping everything upside down–dessert before dinner, breakfast at night, and Shabbat activities in reverse order. Themed outfits are highly encouraged, so feel free to wear your pants as shirts, your shirts as pants, or anything else that makes no sense. Come ready for a topsy-turvy night where nothing makes sense and everything is exactly the opposite!

Join us for a special Shabbat as we send off Sadie–Birthright style! After an amazing year at Moishe House, Sadie is heading off to her next adventure (okay, it's just Pittsburgh, but let's pretend it's Tel Aviv). We're throwing a Birthright-themed Shabbat to celebrate her, complete with nostalgia, laughs, and maybe a few inside jokes about group buses and desert hikes. Bring your own Birthright memories to share, and if you'd like to give a short farewell speech in Sadie's honor, you'll have your moment. Expect good food, warm vibes, and lots of love. Let's give Sadie a sendoff she'll never forget!

Another day at the park! Play frisbee __,football __, basketball__, or just hang out and eat. Bring some food (and maybe bug spray __) as we share some plates and have an epic picnic dinner __. Stick around as we clean up the park after as well!

Get ready for Jewish & Israeli Drunk History! Just like the classic Comedy Central show, you'll come with a prepped story from Jewish or Israeli history–any era, any topic, as long as it's true (or mostly true). Then we'll pour the drinks, pass the mic, and let the hilarity unfold as we drunkenly recount the epic highs and ridiculous lows of our shared past. Think Purim meets improv with a historical twist. Costumes, props, and dramatic flair are encouraged. Come thirsty, come funny, and come ready to make (or slur) some history.

Shhh DO NOT tell Jacob __ __. It's not a surprise but it will blow him away! Our favorite Maryland-born MoHo resident (and Adam) is getting older _____ and this Shabbat we'll celebrate______! Come toast an achievement of biblical proportions–Josh has hit 1,000 straight days on Duolingo! That's right, 1,000 days of owls, streak freezes, and still somehow not knowing how to say ÒWhere is the bathroom?' in Hebrew. We're honoring this heroic feat with a Shabbat party full of laughter, lox, and linguistic confusion. Expect a live Duolingo demo from Josh himself–watch him decode sentences that may or may not be real Hebrew. Whether you speak fluent Ivrit or just fluent emoji, this night will be _______ (that means Òcrazy,' probably). Don't miss the fun–we promise it'll be more coherent than the Duolingo owl's notifications at 11:59 PM!

Make a splash with Moishe House Bethesda at our summer Pool Party! We're heading to the beautiful Somerset Pool for a relaxing afternoon of sun, swims, and good vibes. Bring your towel, sunscreen, and your best poolside energy. It's the perfect way to unwind, connect with friends, and soak up the start of summer. Light snacks and drinks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own favorites. Spots are limited, so be sure to sign up in advance to secure your place!

Help us reopen our backyard with a night by the fire. We will have snacks to roast and drinks to cool off. Once the stars are out we'll have some songs for Havdalah. Come enjoy some dairy for the end of Shabbas a few weeks after Shavuot.

There's been some confusion, for you see my roommates are unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe.
