Tools for Effective Dialogue: Learn how to handle difficult people and stay in dialogue! This will be a hands-on, skill-based session. Learn how to have difficult conversations, listen when it’s hard, and stay allies with someone you disagree with.
Ruth & Intermarriage: Why do we read the book of Ruth on Shavuot? Ruth was a Moabite princess who joined the Jewish people and is the great-great-grandmother of King David. This raises questions about intermarriage, conversion, and belonging.
Access to the Shekhinah: “There are 36 who get to see the face of the Shekhinah in every generation.” Together, we will ask: how human beings encounter the Divine Presence, who can access it, and whether that experience is limited or open to more of us.
Revelation After Sinai: We will explore how Jewish thinkers across history have understood the meaning of revelation beyond the moment at Mount Sinai. Together, we’ll ask a central question: if revelation continues after Sinai, what counts as revelation today?
