ÒIt Takes Two to Torah’ with Washington Hebrew Congregation

March 9 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

For the first time, read_ers can take a tour of the entire Torah through the medi_um of a sin_gle instruc_tive, irrev_er_ent, involv_ing con_ver_sa_tion. Over a two-year peri_od, an Ortho_dox rab_bi and Reform jour_nal_ist talked through the Five Books of Moses with can_dor, humor, emo_tion, per_son_al rev_e_la_tion, and schol_ar_ship.

Pogre_bin and Linz_er engaged in these short dia_logues_–_ten min_utes per par_sha_–_on a pod_cast for Tablet Mag_a_zine, and these live_ly exchanges have now been col_lect_ed and edit_ed by Fig Tree Books. Dov is a renowned expert in Torah, whose val_ues run egal_i_tar_i_an, but who has clear para_me_ters about what is cor_rect and com_fort_able when it comes to Jew_ish law. Abby is the relat_able every Jew in Amer_i_ca_–_immersed in Jew_ish life, but less through obser_vance and prayer; more through study, report_ing, syn_a_gogue, and com_mu_ni_ty.

This book is for any_one look_ing to access and absorb the entire Torah in bite-size, relat_able nu
