4:00 PM — Doors open 4:30 PM — HaKol concert & sing-along 5:00 PM — Candlelighting, latkes & sufganyot
HaKol, the new Capital Jewish Chorus, will present their inaugural concert and sing-along to welcome the first night of Hanuka on Sunday, December 14 at 4:30 PM at the Edlavitch Jewish Community Center of D.C., at 16th and Q Streets, NW. Doors to Kaye Community Hall will open at 4:00 PM.
HaKol’s two dozen singers, under the baton of conductor and composer Dr. Joshua Fishbein, will present a 30-minute concert featuring a wide variety of Jewish music. Following HaKol’s performance, Dr. Fishbein will lead a community sing as we light candles for the first night of Hanuka. Then we’ll feast on delicious latkes and sufganyot and schmooze with old friends and new.
The concert and celebration are co-sponsored by HaKol, the Edlavitch JCC, and Bet Mishpachah, the DC area’s LGBTQ synagogue, which celebrated our 50th anniversary with a huge gala last month. Donations will be shared among the three co-sponsors.
Please RSVP below by Dec. 10 so we’ll know how many latkes and sufganyot to order. After a joyous concert, you shouldn’t go hungry! Cost Range: 0 – 18
Organization: Bet Mishpachah
