Come join the NSP Community Chevre Kaddisha (NSP CCK) for our first annual Zayin Adar meeting. A chevre kaddisha is a “holy society” that carries out Jewish end-of-life and death rituals, and Zayin Adar, or the 7th of the Hebrew month of Adar, is when the chevre traditionally meets.
This year we’ll meet a little later in Adar, on the Gregorian date of Sunday, March 8 from 2:00-5:00pm. We’ll discuss our plan to continue forming our chevre and how we plan to care for our community in life and death. Topics will include how we’re building a gender-expansive chevre, and breakouts for our subgroups: education, ritual, bereavement care, and shrouds.
Food will be provided. Masks are requested when not eating or drinking.
