Organization Summary For 25 years, the Greater Washington Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (JCADA) has served the community by empowering survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) to live safely and educating young people about healthy relationships. JCADA provides free counseling and victim advocacy support to IPV survivors. JCADA also educates the community about the warning signs of abuse, the dynamics of healthy relationships, and the best practices for supporting a victim of intimate partner violence. Job Summary The Teen & Young Adult Education Manager educates local Jewish teens and young adults about teen dating violence, intimate partner violence, healthy relationships, and appropriate responses. This position reports to the Director of Education & Community Impact, and supports the development and implementation of JCADA education strategies, workshops, resources, and program evaluation.
Essential Job Responsibilities Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to research, recommend and implement best practice education strategies, methods, and mediums. • Develop and facilitate interactive workshops for teens and young adults. • Compile or develop content modules on relevant topics as needed. • Develop and implement workshop evaluation metrics to show the value of our work to funders. • Support content creation and upkeep of the JCADA Website Teen Corner. • Administer programs from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting. • Supervise Facilitators, including training, performance evaluation and scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications • Program development and curriculum creation; • Comfort with public speaking and facilitating training for teens and young adults; • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and survivor-centered approaches; • Data tracking and evaluation experience; • Experience in nonprofit, advocacy, education, or community-based organizations.

Travel Local travel throughout the Greater Washington, DC area. Access to reliable personal transportation strongly recommended.
Education and Experience: • Master’s and/or Graduate degree in social work, public health, criminal justice, gender studies, education, or related fields. • Or three - five years of experience with curriculum development, training, and facilitation in the field of IPV. • Knowledge of or strong desire to learn about intimate partner violence, teen dating violence, power and control, gender based violence, or related fields. • Knowledge of or strong desire to learn about the Greater Washington Jewish Community. • Knowledge of or strong desire to learn Jewish values and the integration of values into programs designed for the Jewish community. • Experience working with cross-cultural audiences. • Excellent relationship building, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills. • Experience or willingness to learn program evaluation, such as the fundamentals of evaluating workshops.
Salary: $60,000-65,000 plus benefits, including: long-term disability, life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance plan, Individual Retirement Account with match up to 3%, unlimited paid time off, and more. The value of our package offered is approximately $12,000. This position is contingent upon grant funding.
