Seeking a patient, friendly companion/aide for a politically progressive, humanistic Jewish retired professor in his 90s. This friendly, respectful elder lives independently in a senior residence but needs support as his memory declines. He has enjoyed cultural outings, thoughtful conversation and daily tasks with an aide; unfortunately, she's leaving town so we need to find someone new. Weekdays only, 10-15 hours/week (schedule negotiable for the right person). No medical care required. Location is at Thomas Circle (three blocks from McPherson Sq metro, and the building has free parking). Pay $30-35/hour plus paid holidays and sick leave.
