Summer Camp Counselor – Gan Shalom Summer Camp Washington, DC | June 22 – August 14 | $21–$23/hour
Gan Shalom is seeking an energetic and creative Summer Camp Counselor to join our team. Counselors work closely with young campers, ages 2.5 to 5 years old to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can explore, play, and build friendships.
This is a full-time seasonal position with hours scheduled between 8:30am–5:00pm, running June 22 – August 14.
Responsibilities: Supervise campers and ensure their safety at all times Lead age-appropriate activities such as arts & crafts, games, sports, and outdoor play Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment Serve as a role model and support campers’ social and emotional growth Assist with daily camp routines, including transitions, meals, and snacks Work collaboratively with fellow counselors and staff
Qualifications: Experience working with children preferred (camp, childcare, or education) Positive, energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with kids Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt to a fast-paced camp environment
Pay: $21–$23 per hour, depending on experience.
