This year, because Purim falls on Erev Shabbat, we'll share a special Friday Purim Seudah/Shabbat Dinner on Friday, March 14. Come to Kesher any time after 5:30 PM and before candle lighting to eat, drink and celebrate the festive Purim Seudah. At 6:56 PM, we will take a break to light Shabbat candles and daven Mincha, Kabbalat Shabbat, and Maariv. Following davening we will continue the meal as a Shabbat meal with Kiddush, two challahs, and the rest of our Shabbat meal dinner. $36
Earliest Hebrew Inscriptions from the 1st Temple Period Lecture w/ Kesher Israel February 23, 2025 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm Religious Action Center 2027 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC, United States Kesher Israel invites you to a lecture with George Washington University Professor Christopher Rollston: "What are the Earliest Hebrew Inscriptions from the First Temple Period?" His lecture will be followed by a dessert reception. Professor Rollston is Department Chair, Professor of Biblical and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the George Washington University. He is active in the American Society of Overseas Research and the Society of Biblical Literature (and has chaired and co-chaired many epigraphic sessions for the annual meetings of both). He served for several years on the Governing Board of the American Society of Overseas Research, and has also served on the Editorial Board of the Bulletin of American Society of Overseas Research. He is currently on the Society of Biblical Literatures' executive board, and he is also currently on the editorial board of the Journal of Biblical Literature. He is the co-editor (with Professor Eric Cline of George Washington Un
