  • Rosh Hashana Challah Bake + Learn with the Den Collective

Location will vary based on sign-up. , United States

Join us for an intimate evening of deep connection, sweet challah baking, and exploration of Jewish teachings! We'll be joined by Rachel Jacobs from Walla Challah, who will guide us as as we braid and bake our round and sweet Rosh Hashana challahs. As our challahs bake in the oven, we'll gather together with Rabbi Aderet for a dynamic learning and discussion touching on the themes of the High Holy Day season. You'll take home your freshly baked challah bread to enjoy over the holiday (or on the way homeÉ we won't judge ;)

We will gather in Bethesda, MD in a Metro accessible location. All are welcome.

To help cover the costs for this gathering, please visit our website to make a $20 contribution that supports the Den and helps us continue to create these and future offerings. If the amount is cost prohibitive, please make a meaningful contribution that you are comfortable with. Thank you!

Building on the Den's commitment to peer leadership, we're launching a new leadership cohort where emerging leaders receive rabbinic mentorship, peer support, and access to outside expertise as they learn to lead diverse Jewish learning experiences, guide ritual gatherings, and hold sacred space in community. Fellows develop facilitation and leadership skills in a supportive, spiritually grounded community of peers. This immersive experience combines hands-on leadership opportunities with ongoing guidance and reflection from the Den's leadership team: rabbis, staff, members of the Den's Board and Advisory Council, and select area experts who bring professional insight into key areas of training.
