Hunger Action at DC Central Kitchen with the EDCJCC June 24, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Capital Jewish Museum 575 3rd Street, NW, Washington, DC , United States Join us to volunteer with DC Central Kitchen, a close partner organization that uses volunteer help to transform 3,000 pounds of otherwise wasted food into 5,000 healthy meals for schools, homeless shelters, and social service agencies. Volunteers will work in their professional kitchen to chop vegetables, sort fresh produce, mix salads, portion meals, and more! Please note that DCCK welcomes volunteers ages 12 and older for this opportunity. Teens ages 12-18 are invited to volunteer with the Youth Action Institute. We will meet at the DC Central Kitchen located in southwest DC. The address will be provided with registration. There is limited space for this program and registration is required for participation. As DC Central Kitchen relies on a specific number of volunteers to be able to produce the meals they need, we ask that you only register if you are committed to showing up to volunteer on this day. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mira at msmith@edcjcc.org.
