Wreath Laying Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery with Kesher Israel

July 5 @ 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm

Please join us on Sunday, July 5th, at 12:15 p.m. for a meaningful program at Arlington National Cemetery as we celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary. Representatives of the Kesher community will have the honor of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on behalf of our congregation. Community members are encouraged to attend.

Upon arrival at the Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center, all visitors must go through physical security screening. Please leave ample time to arrive at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier for the ceremony.

You may access the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by tram or by walking. Please plan your route ahead of time and note that the walk to the Tomb from the Welcome Center is approximately one mile, and mostly uphill. For information on taking the hop-on, hop-off tram, visit www.arlingtontours.com. For visitors with disabilities, visit www.arlingtoncemetery.mil/Visit/Visitors-with-Disabilities.

NOTE: please wear appropriate, conservative dress, avoiding gym clothes and flip flops.

With any questions or to help sponsor the wreath, please email Miriam Cleeman at chesed@kesher.org.
