We’ll daven Maariv using a low-key, less-musical mode (BYO siddur – or use your phone), and then read Eicha. Eicha is typically read from a regular Tanakh rather than a scroll – you are encouraged to bring your own Tanakh, or you can follow along on your phone. After Eicha, we will recite selected Kinnot and works by Palestinian poets, paralleling the destruction wrought by ancient empires with that of current empires, and participating in the traditional practice of mourning many tragedies all on Tisha B’Av. We’ll have printed copies of these.
