Many Jews feel called to the work of tikkun olam – repairing the world – but trying to solve large global issues is both overwhelming and impossible. One person can, however, make a tremendous difference in their local community. Join us for an interactive workshop with community organizers from Jews United for Justice (JUFJ) focused on building a more just Washington, DC for all. We’ll learn about how the local DC government works and what each of us can do to make real change in the lives of our families, friends, and neighbors here in our own community.
A light brunch will be served. This workshop is geared towards teens and adults.
If you have any questions please contact Sonya at sweisburd@edcjcc.org.
This is the first workshop in a three-part series – check out parts two and three on February 18 and February 27. Presented in partnership with Based-In DC, Bet Mishpachah, Temple Sinai, and Washington Hebrew Congregation.
