In the original debut of The Broken Seder, Bay Area Jewish artist Day Schildkret reimagines the ancient Passover Seder plate as a profound meditation on Jewish identity and resilience in an era of rising antisemitism. This immersive installation transforms a familiar ritual into a powerful exploration of the emotional spectrum of being Jewish today – grappling with brokenness, grief, pride and renewal.

By deconstructing and reimagining the iconic elements of the seder plate, Schildkret invites us to engage with tradition in strikingly new ways.
