Join Chabad East DC on Saturday, October 31, 2026, for a special Shabbat with Scholar in Residence Jorian Polis Schutz, a writer, artist, educator, publisher, and community builder whose work explores Jewish learning, agriculture, and community life.

The morning begins at 9:30 AM with Chassidic Philosophy over coffee and babka, followed by Shabbat services at 10:00 AM and a Kiddush lunch at 12:00 PM. Jorian is a Harvard graduate and the founder of the Iyyun Kollel in Brooklyn and the Mahaz homestead program. He is also publishing his first volumes with Deuteronomy Press, including An Introduction to Sabbath Agriculture and Eit Yosef, his new book on Joseph.
