Restore an Abandoned Jewish Cemetery, Perform a Mitzvah! with JGSGW

February 15 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
$5

In 2018, Jeffrey visited the Nowogród Jewish Cemetery for the first time. He has initiated and led the effort to raise funds to help in restoring the Nowogród Jewish Cemetery, and collaborated with others on helping to do the same for other Jewish cemeteries in Poland. He will show us how we can initiate similar efforts in the various shtetls that your ancestors inhabited.

This one-hour program, conducted over Zoom at 1:30 PM Eastern Time, is free for members. This is one of the many activities that is a benefit of JGSGW membership.
Nonmembers may register to attend for a fee of $10.

Jeffrey Miller has researched his genealogy, presented to groups, and published his discoveries for 25+ years. He has organized numerous reunions, reunited siblings, and voluntarily assisted many in their searches for lost family members, or to identify their roots. Jeffrey has been a JGS President and VP for Programs at JGSGW, lecturer at multiple IAJGS Conferences including Washington DC, Paris and Seattle. Jeffrey is also a regular continuing education instructor on topics such as how to get started in genealogy and how to advance research when stuck.
