Rescheduled for Shevat!

The Queer Rosh Chodesh Group draws on the tradition of feminist Rosh Chodesh gatherings to explore the themes of the upcoming Jewish month through a queer lens. This gathering, led by Based-In DC’s Rabbi Avigayil Halpern, will take place monthly on or before Rosh Chodesh, the first day of the Jewish month, and is open to all queer-identified Jews in their 20s and 30s. The Queer Rosh Chodesh Group is co-sponsored by Based-In DC and EntryPointDC and GLOE at the JCC. You can come to just one, come every month, or whenever suits your fancy!

This month, we’ll talk about the holiday of Tu Bishvat – Òthe new year for the trees’ – and ways to connect to the Jewish calendar and year cycle – we’ll also eat yummy fruit!
