Learn about the Jewish population In the Land of Israel, including Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jews, in the 19th century through a new evaluation and analysis of the five censuses undertaken at the initiative of philanthropist Sir Moses Montefiore between 1839 and 1875.
Raquel Levy-Toledano is very involved in Moroccan Jewish Genealogy and genetic genealogy. She is a member of the International Institute for Jewish Genealogy, a board member of International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies and of Cercle de Généalogie Juive, and co-administrator of Avotaynu DNA. She is a member of Magen David Sephardic Congregation and Sephardic Heritage International (SHIN-DC).
