I Will Be What I Will Be: Teshuva, the New Year, and Becoming Ourselves
God famously reveals Godself to Moshe by the name “ahyeh asher ahyeh,” meaning I will be what I will be. What does this name of God teach us about God and what might it teach us about our own capacity for change and becoming?
In this special Elul Beit Midrash, we’ll explore Jewish teachings from Torah to Midrash to Hasidut on teshuva, our capacity to change and the necessity and challenge of beginning again. This session will include the opportunity to learn all together as well as time spent in havruta (paired learning).
This event is co sponsored by DC Minyan and EDCJCC.
