A pioneer in the ethnic-rock genre of Israeli music, singer-songwriter Micha Biton released his critically-acclaimed Live album in November 2016. Biton’s mesmerizing concert “From Sderot to Jerusalem” utilizes anecdotes and song to tell the famous story of his childhood as a refugee. In his career, Biton performs sold-out concerts in Israel’s most popular venues and has traveled the world both solo and with his band.

That all changed on October 7, 2023, when, after 13 hours in his safe room with his wife and 4 children, he barely escaped with his family. He now lives as a refugee in Tel Aviv with his wife and three of his four children (one is married and living in Arad). His guitar was one of the only items that Biton took when he was quickly evacuated from his home in Moshav Netiv Ha’asara, a Gaza border community attacked
