Our policy certificate programs aim to give participants practical knowledge of key policy areas. Over four days in Washington, candidates engage with the theory and practice of politics and wrestle with the complexity of contemporary policy issues.
Recent trends have made many Americans doubt the contributions of the Jewish faith, people, and homeland to liberal democracy, as well as the importance of a strong American-Israeli alliance to our national security. This program asks whether support for Israel is essential to our national security and liberal democracy more broadly. Seminars take up the Hebrew Bible, American history, and IR theory. Finally, a review of the rationale for Operation Epic Fury is followed by an exercise simulating further crisis in the Middle East.
