When the largely Jewish community near Glen Echo Amusement Park joined the Black students in picketing, the first organized interracial civil rights protest in U.S. history was born. In this three part series, we'll spend time in havruta (paired learning) exploring the language of key psalms from davening as well as learn together midrashim from Midrash Tehillim that will help us uncover key themes and expand our understanding of this rich liturgy. You'll come away with new insights into tehillim and a deeper relationship to the text. This class is held in person at the Edlavitch DCJCC on Thursday evenings, May 15-29.
