As the High Holidays come to a close, we invite you to join GatherDC for one final gathering under the sukkah’s thatched roof. Rooted in the Jewish tradition of bidding farewell to the sukkah, this is an opportunity to slow down, savor the moment, and reflect on what this new Jewish year might bring.
Through journaling and art-making, we’ll explore where we’ve found peace, protection, and moments of joy over the past High Holiday season – and what learning we’d like to carry with us into the year ahead.
We’ll have the option to shake the Lulav (branches and palm fronds) and Etrog (citron) for the final time during the holiday, as well as share light snacks and spend time in the shelter of the sukkah as we say “see you next year.”
