Tammy Gottlieb, a leading Israeli activist, shares stories from her time fighting for democracy and equality in Israel, and the important role American Jews have to play in promoting democracy and pluralism in the Jewish state. Tammy was raised and educated in a Masorti congregation in Rehovot and was one of the early women to serve as a combat soldier in the IDF’s Caracal Battalion. This event will take place in the TI Library at 7:30 pm and is co-sponsored by Kol Shalom, Shaare Tefila, Temple Beth Ami, Temple Emanu El, Tikvat Israel and Washington Hebrew Congregation.
