Hadar DC: Spring Beit Midrash with the EDCJCC

May 15, 2025 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Free

Tehillim (Psalms) are an integral part of davening, although davening often doesn’t provide the space to really dig into and reflect on some of the themes of these holy texts. In this three part series, we’ll spend time in havruta (paired learning) exploring the language of key psalms from davening as well as learn together midrashim from Midrash Tehillim that will help us uncover key themes and expand our understanding of this rich liturgy. You’ll come away with new insights into tehillim and a deeper relationship to the text.

This class is held in person at the Edlavitch DCJCC on Thursday evenings, May 15-29. Free to attend, but registration is required.

About the Instructor: Rabbi Avi Strausberg is Senior Director of National Learning Initiatives at Hadar and is based in Washington, D.C. She received her rabbinic ordination from Hebrew College in Boston and was a Wexner Graduate Fellow.
