JCADA takes a holistic approach to domestic and dating abuse that integrates clinical support with community education and prevention. We provide high quality services to all residents of the Greater Washington DC community, without regard to race, ability, background, faith, gender or sexual orientation.
Shalom bayit – peace in the home – is a central tenet of Judaism. However, it is not the reality in many homes where the constant threat of abuse – physical, emotional, sexual, technological and financial – continues to erode the fabric of family and community life. Since 2000, the Greater Washington Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (JCADA) has been engaging the Jewish community on the issue of domestic abuse through education and prevention programs while providing free clinical support to victims of domestic abuse.
We have opportunities for Young Professionals to participate in our annual 5K & Wellness Fair, and small local parlor meetings to learn more about JCADA’s work and current issues in the field of Domestic Violence and Trauma. Volunteer Training is available for hands on opportunities. Contact Amanda to learn more.
