Bet Mishpachah is a congregation for LGBT Jews and all who wish to participate in an inclusive, egalitarian, and mutually supportive community. We join together for weekly Shabbat services, educational events, social action/social justice community service, and holidays — affirming our religious and cultural heritage, and integrating our LGBT and Jewish identities. Additionally, Rabbi Laurie Green, the spiritual leader of Bet Mishpachah, is available for life cycle events, pastoral care, spiritual guidance and study groups. Since its founding in 1975, Bet Mishpachah has served as a hub for the LGBT Jewish community, with Shabbat services every Friday at 8 pm and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at 10 am, at the EDCJCC. We hope you’ll join us!
From our musical Rock ‘n Scroll Shabbat services to a chance for inter-generational friendships, Bet Mishpachah offers a unique community where everyone is welcome to come as they are. If you prefer a more traditional Shabbat service, seek out our Saturday morning Shabbat services. If you’re looking to spend time learning, attend Rabbi Green’s Spring and Fall Classes, or our Spring Shabbaton. If social justice is your focus, get involved with our Social Action/Social Justice committee. Follow us on Facebook to stay updated!
