Moment Magazine was founded in 1975 by Nobel Prize laureate Elie Wiesel and acclaimed writer Leonard Fein. Fiercely independent, Moment is not tied to any organization, denomination or point of view and offers a balanced accounting of the Jewish experience in America. Moment is dedicated to serious, highly literate, intellectual journalism that provides readers with a much-needed independent forum. Moment also strives to counteract anti-Semitism, and encourage constructive, meaningful discussion about Jewish history, life and future. Moment is the flagship project of the Center for Creative Change, a small Washington, DC-based non-profit organization.
We offer events around the Washington D.C. community. Our events promise to be interesting, thought-provoking and relevant to young Jewish professionals in the DC area. Our events offer a venue for young professionals to network and meet other intellectual and aware young professionals. Our events also provide access to prominent speakers and leaders that young professionals not usually accessible to young professionals. Moment Magazine is a resource for young professionals. Our publications, both digital and print, discuss issues that are pertinent and enable young Jewish professionals to remain informed about topics important to them, the Jewish community and world around them.
