Who are we? Segulah is an independent minyan that meets in Shepherd Park/Silver Spring for full-liturgy, energizing, songful, and participant-led egalitarian davening in a warm, welcoming, accessible neighborhood community.
What do we offer 20s and 30s? We follow each Shabbat-morning service with a potluck vegetarian lunch in the neighborhood, or a kiddush on-site. Segulah includes folks who otherwise daven at synagogues and minyans across the Jewish landscape, Jews by birth and Jews by choice, all ages from babies to grandparents, LGBT and straight, vegetarians and omnivores, folks with various abilities and disabilities, cartographers, teachers and activists. But we all value the prayer experience and community that we create at Segulah.
