Gesher Jewish Day School is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Associate Director of Development to lead all aspects of fundraising and donor engagement. This position is responsible for annual giving, major gifts, grant writing, campaign planning, and community stewardship. The Associate Director of Development will work closely with the Head of School, an incredibly supportive Board of Trustees, and school leadership to ensure a strong philanthropic foundation for the future.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee donor engagement, retention, and stewardship and partner with the Head of School and Board to build and maintain strong donor and community relationships. Design and lead a comprehensive development strategy, including annual fund, capital campaigns, and major gifts, including the development and execution of fundraising plans with measurable goals and timelines. Identify, cultivate, and solicit new donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporate sponsors. Serve as a thought partner to the Head of School in planning long-term fundraising strategy. Work with the Director of Finance to set and monitor fundraising targets and prepare monthly development updates for the Head of School and Board of Trustees. Serve as Gesher’s lead storyteller, crafting compelling narratives that connect investors, donors, and the broader community to our mission. Work with the Manager of Communications on all development communications, including stewardship materials, annual reports, and campaign messaging. Write and manage compelling grant proposals and reports in collaboration with school leadership. Partner with the Community Advancement Manager on fundraising and stewardship events. Represent the school at donor meetings and community events Maintain accurate and organized donor records and reports in DonorPerfect or similar CRM. Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in development or nonprofit fundraising Bachelor’s degree required Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills Passion for Jewish education and commitment to community values Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills Familiarity with donor databases such as DonorPerfect Ability to collaborate with professional and lay leadership. Ability to learn and grow from feedback.
