We are looking for a new housemate for one bedroom for 3-bedroom 1 bath row house in Capitol Hill/Hill East. The room comes unfurnished and has a window overlooking the street and small closet. Shared bathroom. There is space on the first floor for a small desk/work space that the new tenant can use.
Within walking distance to H St, Eastern Market, and coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. Lots of public transit available - walking distance to bus (D6, X2,X8,90,96, B2), bike share within one block, 20 min walk to red/orange/silver spring blue lines metro. Plenty of street parking available.
- First floor: Dining Room is furnished with basic appliances including air fryer and microwave. Living-room has a tv but otherwise unfurnished - Second floor: 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom - Large private fenced in backyard that is wonderful for hosting and gardening. We also have a shared fire pit and shared locked storage shed. - Central air and in-unit washer dryer. - New tenant is welcome to come with additional home furnishings!
We are both easy going. One roommate is 26 and works at a school nearby. The second is 36 and also works with kids. One roommate is more of a homebody but enjoys music, crafts, reading.The second roommate volunteers a lot, enjoys cooking and exploring the city.
Rent is $910 per month plus utilities, which range from $50-$75, depending on season (water, central AC/heat, WIFI, and electricity). Landlord pays for water. Small dogs are welcome with one time deposit. We’re looking for at least a 9-12 month commitment to the lease.
