The Bender JCC of Greater Washington, located in Rockville, MD, is hiring part-time swim instructors. Our swim instructors are responsible for planning and teaching private swim lessons and group swim classes.
Pay Rate: $15 per half hour private lesson or group class
Core Responsibilities:
-Instructing, evaluating, and supervising all swim lesson participants. -Ensuring the safety of the participant in their own class. -Remaining after class to answer participant and/or parent questions as needed and clean up supplies. -Submitting completed report cards, skills sheets, and attendance information on time. -Attending mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled. -Acting immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of emergency. -Planning swim lessons and adapting activities based on participant needs -Assisting in daily set up and clean-up of teaching areas and instructional equipment before students arrive. -Leading activities while maintaining control over group, program, and equipment. -Providing opportunities for each student to achieve success, including students with disabilities. -Presenting professionally and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
