A full-time, mid-level position supporting JUFJ's fundraising campaign goals, strategies and tactics. Reports to the Sr. Director of Development. Exempt position within a bargaining unit represented by NPEU/Local 70, IFPTE.

The ideal candidate is energized by working with others and sharing JUFJ's impact. Seeking a highly organized, creative, detail-oriented, and motivated person to support multi-channel revenue generation, donor stewardship, and sponsorship in a fast-paced, growing organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Database Management
- Produce informative reports and recommendations in support of data-driven fundraising strategies.
- Implement tactics for meeting shared goals, including developing and pulling segmented lists and reporting on list performance.
- Oversee systems to ensure gifts (including stock, grants, etc.), in-kind donations, and pledges are entered efficiently and accurately into the database, and the development CRM reconciles with actuals.
- Oversee systems to maintain donor database hygiene and increase functionality.

Development Marketing and Communications
-Manage acknowledgment process collaboratively to ensure every gift is properly acknowledged.
-Manage sponsorship and other donor crediting processes to confirm proper recognition for donors.
-Promote a positive experience through regular donor and stakeholder communication.
-Participate in the planning and execution of JUFJ’s outreach to individual donor base through email, fundraising events, and public facing content such as general donation pages, peer-to-peer campaign management, and more.

Project Management
-Help create the annual individual donor fundraising plan including strategy, tactics, implementation, and calendar.
-Oversee processes for managing major projects utilizing collaboration tools
-Manage some relationships with development contractors/vendors to ensure payment and deliverables.

Event Management
-Meaningfully contribute to event planning and execution, including JUFJ seders and the Heschel Vision Awards.

Development/Finance Operations
-Assist Finance Department with yearly audit, providing pledge and gift documentation, financial reports, drafting procedures.
-Track departmental expenses and reconcile figures with Finance Department.
-Participate in regular meetings and assist with departmental priorities.
-Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Looking for at least 3 years of experience in the following areas:

Development Experience: Previous experience managing projects in a data, development, and/or operations role.

Donor Relationship Management: Support, manage, and work to improve donor experience.

Data Management: Evaluate the efficacy of development data reports and utilize creative thinking to optimize informative reporting. Experience with EveryAction (NGPVAN/VoteBuilder), Asana, and Google Suite preferred.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, consult with various stakeholders, anticipate obstacles, coordinate staff and internal resources, and keep a cool head.

Collaboration Skills: Develop and maintain trusting relationships with diverse stakeholders. Ability to meet people where they are, find common ground, and inspire collective action around fundraising ambassadorship.

Communication Skills: Persuasive professional writing and strong verbal communication.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to thought partner on annual individual donor fundraising campaign planning and implementation. Ability to consider impact, resources, and larger institutional goals during planning and implementation.

Team Player/Professionalism: A reliable self-starter with high standards. Accustomed to holding yourself accountable. Willingness to work periodically irregular hours.

Eagerness to Learn: Inclination to keep learning, asking questions, and working to understand fundraising strategies across the field.

Belief in Mission: Actively demonstrate a commitment to integrity, credibility, and dedication to JUFJ's mission.

LOGISTICS

Compensation: $58,000 – $79,000 per year commensurate with experience

Benefits: 100% of employee medical & dental insurance premiums, 25% of dependent premiums, 3% employer retirement contributions, short-term disability income protection insurance. 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave and a sabbatical every 7 years.

Location: Based out of Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD office. Must be available and willing to work some nights and Sundays (schedule varies). Staff work in the office 2 days and remotely 3 days/week. Some in-person meetings may be required.
