The ADL has the courage to speak out, even when we stand alone, in the face of discrimination directed at people of any color or creed. We fight for the right to live, love, pray, speak and vote however you like.
The ADL Washington, DC Region efforts include anti-bias and counter-extremism training for law enforcement; safeguarding civil rights and the separation of church and state through legislative and other efforts; providing assistance and resources to victims of hate crimes; and engaging young leaders in our advocacy work. Our Regional Board Members and Staff work to fight hatred and encourage diversity throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina.
ADL NextGen is the young professional branch of the Anti-Defamation League’s Washington, DC Region. The ADL NextGen Outreach Network provides multiple ways for emerging leaders to engage in ADL’s extensive work in civil rights advocacy, anti-bias education, combating hate and extremism, and more. ADL NextGen seeks to unite the next generation of leaders committed to the mission of ADL – to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.
A small cohort of ADL NextGen leaders are selected to join the ADL Glass Leadership Institute (GLI). GLI is a nationally recognized leadership development program designed to give a select group of young professionals an up-close and personal view of the programs, policies, and expertise of the nation’s premier civil rights organization. The program serves as a comprehensive introduction to ADL and provides a pathway into an impressive circle of ADL young professional leaders in the Washington, DC region.
