SUMMARY:Purim Celebration with the Purim Spiel with Temple Micah
DESCRIPTION:An Evening in Shushan\nJoin us for a celebration like no other as we journey back to 5th-century BCE Persia\, immersing ourselves in the epic story of Purim with a Purimspiel by our Machon Micah students and music from special visiting artists. \nThe night will begin with family-friendly festivities\, then unfold into an experience geared towards the wider community. Come for part of the evening or stay for it all! Costumes are optional but encouraged–don’t forget to bring a noisemaker or grogger! \nWhile the evening is free and open to all\, the pizza party at 5:30 p.m. requires pre-registration and costs $5 per person. Pre-register by March 11. \nSchedule of Events\n5:30 p.m. – Pizza banquet and costume parade\, leading straight to Shushan in our very own Temple Micah sanctuary.\n6-7 p.m. – Purim One-Acts\, performed by our Machon Micah students\, featuring the Temple Micah Youth Choir and live music from our visiting artists.\n7-7:30 p.m. – Dessert & schmoozing in the lobby and upstair

DESCRIPTION:Do you want to learn how to read Hebrew and chant Torah? Do you hope to deepen your feeling of connection to a community? Do you want to expand your thinking on a myriad of Jewish topics and have thought provoking discussions? \nIf you answered\, ÒYes!’ to these questions\, we invite you to join our Adult B’nai Torah class\, led by Rabbi Stephanie Crawley\, with guest teaching from our other rabbis. \nThe class will take place on Tuesdays from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Temple Micah approximately two-three times a month over the next year-and-a-half\, with a break for the summer. It will culminate with members of the class being called to Torah in the spring of 2026. \nThe last day to register is Friday\, January 17\, 2025.
