GatherDC is a grassroots nonprofit organization that helps thousands of Jewish 20s and 30s find their people and their place across Jewish the District. We create alternative Jewish learning experiences, concierge young adults to partner organizations, and provide comprehensive online resources for Jewish young adults.

We are searching for a personable, hard-working, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about meeting new people, exploring various connections to Jewish life, and developing their professional skill set.

A flexible, collaborative team-player willing to wear multiple hats and keep up with the hustle and bustle of our day-to-day work.

Be a key part of GatherDC’s team, supporting each staff member with essential projects to strengthen local Jewish life for 20s and 30s.
Support GatherDC’s Communications Director with a range of marketing tasks.
Update blog content and write blog posts about your experiences.
Perform a social media audit, monitor social media trends, and brainstorm new creative content strategies to bolster GatherDC’s social media.
Ideate new ways to engage our local Jewish community through a variety of digital methods: e-newsletters, YouTube videos, blogs, etc.
Assist GatherDC’s Community Engagement Director and Community Coordinator.
Help plan and execute events young Jewish DC interns and newcomers
Attend various GatherDC events when needed.
Update GatherDC’s Salesforce database to ensure proper record keeping.
Enthusiastically represent GatherDC at various Jewish community functions across the city (e.g. happy hours, Shabbat dinners, intern gatherings).

Fridays and major Jewish holidays off, a flexible schedule, and a generous stipend.
The opportunity to shadow and train with experienced nonprofit professionals.
Practical, on-the-ground experience with social media campaigns, nonprofit marketing, blogging, event planning, community engagement, and more.
