Looking for the right person to take over my 12-month lease in a large, beautiful house in Anacostia with two amazing housemates (one Jewish!) Non-Kosher House, Non-Shomer Shabbat. The landlords and property manager are all absolutely awesome! Very cool, responsive, and responsible. The lease starts June 1st, 2018 and ends May 31st, 2019. Option to move in on May 25th with prorated rent. Rent is $670 plus all utilities.

About the house:
-Two floors with a front porch, back porch, and backyard
-Your room is generous (fits a queen bed). It is on the second floor and has a large closet, and two windows
-Shared bathroom with one other roommate
-HUGE living room and ENORMOUS kitchen with new appliances
-Blessed with a fenced backyard complete with string lights, patio furniture, and a grill
Housework: Mostly just mowing the lawn; the landlords left behind a lawnmower

About the location:
-10-12 minute walk from the Anacostia Metro Station (Green Line) with easy access all across D.C such as hotspots like Chinatown, UStreet, and Columbia Heights
-4 minute walk from a host of buses, D.C circulator, and plenty of restaurants
-15-20 minute bus ride to Eastern Market, Trader Joe's, and the bars and restaurants on Barrack's Row
-Walkable to Navy Yard
-Plenty of river and bike trails!

About us:
-Woman and man in their mid 20s working in non-profit development and policy
-We like to cook, drink, and host -- planning on having a few get-togethers/parties a few times a year to take advantage of the grill and yard
-Lots of instruments -- feel free to bring more into the home!
-Generally laid-back, but responsible for our own spaces

About you:
-Queer, PoC, and 420-friendly
-Young professional who can be neat and clean, but knows how to have a good time ~~

TO APPLY:
Send a message and tell me a bit about yourself! If it seems like you might be a good match, I'll connect you to the housemates. A background check/application with a $50 fee will be required, and if accepted then $698 (1/3 portion of the security deposit) and $670 (first month's rent) will be due as well.
