Why do we seek it? And how has the Jewish tradition shaped our understanding of it over the centuries? \nFor thousands of years\, Jewish poets\, musicians\, and mystics have grappled with these questions. Tonight\, we join that timeless conversation. \nThe Evening’s Elements: \nWine – Wine and love have always gone hand-in-hand in Jewish tradition—from the passionate verses of the Song of Songs and the Golden Age of Spain to modern Israeli poetry. We’ll keep the conversation flowing with a selection of kosher wines. \nJazz – It is hard to imagine a warm\, slow summer night without the sultry sounds of jazz. DESCRIPTION:Women’s Wisdom and Leadership in Jewish Texts and Contemporary Homes\nTuesday\, February 3 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm\nInstructors: Priscilla Askenas and Zina Segal \nJoin us for a meaningful five-part series that celebrates the voices of Jewish women from our classical texts; bringing their wisdom into our contemporary homes. Each gathering offers an opportunity for both learning and creativity\, exploring the leadership and legacy of a different woman from Jewish tradition\, followed by crafting a unique item of Judaica connected to her story. Each project will be something one can proudly use in their own Shabbat and holiday rituals. \nParticipants may register for a single session or purchase the full series at a discounted rate.
