Beth Chaverim Reform Congregation (BCRC), a dynamic, welcoming, egalitarian, 120 family member Reform congregation in Ashburn, VA, is seeking a Temple Administrator. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Temple Administrator (TA) provides day-to-day management of temple business. S/he supports the Rabbi and Board Leadership by administering membership and religious school operations, bookkeeping, rental relationships and the facility space. A primary liaison with the public and within our membership, s/he is responsible for maintaining a warm, welcoming and caring environment. S/he is expected to work collaboratively with the Rabbi and the Board Leadership and independently to execute tasks. Jewish life is largely regulated by a holiday and religious school calendar. The TA should expect and be available to manage seasonal periods of accelerated activity and to be present on Sundays when school is in session.
The ideal candidate is someone who finds joy and energy in multitasking and being part of a community. The TA should be highly organized, detail-oriented and resourceful for the times when they need to perform their tasks independently. The TA should be flexible, interested, helpful and have excellent writing and communication skills for the times that they are collaborating. Administrative skills and experience, bookkeeping, including accounting and customer relations management (CRM) software are helpful. Knowledge of the Jewish lifecycle and prior management experience in a Jewish organization is preferred but not required.

JOB TYPE: Part-time (25-30 hrs/week, with additional hours seasonally, as needed)
JOB LOCATION: Combination of in office and remote
PAY: $22-$25 per hour depending on experience
SCHEDULE: 3 weekdays and Sunday mornings when religious school in session.
SCHOOL HOURS: 27 Sundays throughout the academic year; 8:00 am-1:30 pm
