As a member of Federation’s talented design team, and under the direction of the Senior Graphic Design Manager, you will generate design materials, video content, and motion graphics from concept to completion. Your work will elevate and enhance Federation’s marketing and further our communications goals for a variety of audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Conceptualize, create, and design print and digital art for cross-channel projects, including Federation’s online platforms, in-person and virtual events, flyers, advertisements, PowerPoint templates and graphics, and social media.
-In partnership with Marketing & Communications team colleagues, develop, produce, and edit videos from concept to completion, using footage, photography, animation, and graphics.
-Film in-person events as needed for various video projects to be produced in-house.
-Ensure videos are closed captioned and posted to Federation’s YouTube channel.
-Design infographics and animated graphics for social media.
-In partnership with the Senior Graphic Design Manager, further Federation’s brand across print and digital spaces, and ensure brand standards are upheld throughout organization.
-Create and update branded templates for use by colleagues across the organization.
-Assist in art direction of photoshoots, including gathering inspiration and providing contact sheets for photographers.
-Assist in photoshoot post-production process, including selecting key images and color-correction.
-Send final packaged files and communicate directly with outside vendors.
-Partner with marketing team colleagues to keep shalomdc.org’ graphics and digital assets current and on-brand.
-Research and purchase stock imagery and video.
-Assist at events as needed. Events may occur in the evenings or on Sundays.
Your Background, Qualifications, and Success Factors:
-1-3 years of professional creative experience, with an online portfolio showcasing graphic design, typography, animation, and video work.
-Bachelor’s degree in design, multimedia, or related field. Expertise in video production, from filming and handling of equipment to video creation and editing using programs such as Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro, or similar professional software.
-Experience in creating animated GIFs and infographics.
-Solid foundation in typography, layout, and design.
-Basic photo editing skills.
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
-Keen understanding of and interest in the newest design and production software, techniques, and current trends.
-Proven time management and problem-solving skills.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
-Familiarity with Microsoft 365 programs (Teams, SharePoint), HTML and CSS, WordPress CMS, and/or project management software, a plus.
