SUMMARY:Have You Made Art About It Yet? Passover Edition! with Rabbi Adina Allen
DESCRIPTION:On Passover\, we come together to retell the story of our journey to freedom. Each year\, the themes of oppression and liberation resonate in new ways\, and the unstoppable energy of renewal stirs within us\, mirroring the awakening of life at the threshold of spring. Using the Jewish Studio Process – a unique methodology blending art therapy practices with a reimagined approach to Jewish learning and spirituality – we’ll reflect on the narrow places we’ve been in this past year and open ourselves to the expansiveness and possibility that lie ahead. \n \n \nOrganization: Jewish Studio Project

SUMMARY:The Place of All Possibility: Book Talk & Creativity Workshop w/ R' Adina Allen
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of creativity and inspiration with Rabbi Adina Allen\, co-founder and Creative Director of Jewish Studio Project and author of The Place of All Possibility! \nCreativity offers us a portal to transformation\, spiritual connection\, and revelation. It is there for us when we feel stuck\, divided\, or disconnected. In her highly anticipated first book\, Rabbi Adina Allen delivers a paradigm-shifting and powerfully accessible reading of Torah as a contemporary guidebook for creativity and invites us to rethink and transform ourselves\, our lives\, and the world around us. \nJoin Rabbi Adina for a multimodal book talk experience. We’ll begin with a compelling conversation between R’ Allen and Beth El senior rabbi\, Rabbi Stern\, as they delve into her book\, “The Place of All Possibility: Cultivating Creativity Through Ancient Jewish Wisdom”. We’ll then open up the themes and concepts from the book through a hands-on art-making workshop\, exploring creative expression through the wisdom of Torah. This will be an opportunity to experience the power of creativity\, with basic art materials in a fun\, generative and low-stakes way. All are welcome – no prior experience in art or Torah required! \n \n \nOrganization: Jewish Studio Project

SUMMARY:Pre-Show Conversation with Hester Kamin of Theater J
DESCRIPTION:Hester Kamin’s pre-show conversations are a Theater J favorite! Join us to discuss the themes of YOUR NAME MEANS DREAM (before the matinee performance)- from explorations of the soul and humanity- and how they relate to our own experiences and the issues of our times. Pre-show conversations are a great way to meet other theater fans and thinkers and to be ready to engage with the play more deeply.\nTHE CONVERSATION IS FREE\, but stay for the show so you can apply your learnings to the performance!
