SUMMARY:Iron Sharpening Iron: The Art of Jewish Disagreement with the Den Collective
DESCRIPTION:Jewish tradition holds a long and rich history of sacred disagreement: of questioning\, debating\, challenging\, and refining ideas in the pursuit of deeper understanding. In this gathering\, we’ll explore what Judaism teaches about productive disagreement: the balance between conviction and humility\, the importance of openness and restraint\, and the moments when debate can lose its moral center. \nTogether\, we’ll engage with Jewish wisdom and meaningful conversation around how we navigate differences in our relationships\, communities\, and daily lives. How do we disagree without losing one another? What does it mean to sharpen each other thoughtfully and compassionately\, rather than tear each other down? \nWhether you love spirited discussion or are simply curious about Jewish approaches to dialogue\, disagreement\, and growth\, this gathering offers space for reflection\, learning\, and authentic conversation in community. \nNo experience necessary. Everyone is welcome. This gathering will take place in Silver Spring\, Maryland. Specific location and additional details will be shared with registrants after the registration deadline. \nSign Up by June 24 \n \nAccommodations: None \n \nOrganization: The Den Collective \n \nLivestream or Virtual: No\, it’s not

SUMMARY:Meditation Retreat: Shabbat in Shenandoah with Lech Lecha Journeys
DESCRIPTION:We will be camping together in beautiful Shenandoah\, creating space to step away from the pace and noise of daily life. Through meditation\, silence\, time in nature\, and shared inquiry\, the retreat is designed to support a shift from thinking about G-d and Judaism to experiencing the truths it points to – in our direct experience. \nThe structure of the weekend is intentionally simple. We will move between guided sessions\, unstructured time in nature\, group gatherings\, and Shabbat-related experiences\, allowing for both personal reflection and shared exploration. \nThis is not a highly scheduled or intensive retreat. Rather\, it is an opportunity to slow down\, become more present\, and explore what is available when we are no longer caught in constant movement or mental activity. \nNo prior meditation experience is required. We are shomer-shabbat friendly and provide kosher food\, but welcome people of all religious levels. \nThis retreat is led by experienced meditation facilitator\, Noam Levenson. \n \nAccommodations: None \n \nOrganization: Lech-Lecha Journeys \n \nLivestream or Virtual: No\, it’s not
