Rooted in the Jewish tradition of bidding farewell to the sukkah\, this is an opportunity to slow down\, savor the moment\, and reflect on what this new Jewish year might bring.\nThrough journaling and art-making\, we’ll explore where we’ve found peace\, protection\, and moments of joy over the past High Holiday season – and what learning we’d like to carry with us into the year ahead.\nWe’ll have the option to shake the Lulav (branches and palm fronds) and Etrog (citron) for the final time during the holiday\, as well as share light snacks and spend time in the shelter of the sukkah as we say “see you next year.”

SUMMARY:Beineinu - Real Talk\, Real Ties with Washington Hebrew Congregation
DESCRIPTION:Beineinu is a year-long fellowship exchange program for young adults in their 20s and 30s that brings together participants from the United States and participants from Washington Hebrew Congregation’s sibling congregation\, Or Hadash\, in Haifa\, Israel. Through immersive experiences in both countries\, participants build lasting relationships while exploring one another’s communities\, cultures\, and Jewish identities and gaining a deeper appreciation for the richness and complexity of Jewish life in both countries.
