SUMMARY:Book Talk: Autism with a Side of Sushi with Kuri Levine with the Bender JCC
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special event with author and JCC parent Kuri Levine as we explore her book\, “Autism with a Side of Sushi.” Through personal stories\, Kuri uses sushi as a powerful metaphor for her family’s journey with autism—drawing on her own experience coming to America and her son’s way of navigating the world to illustrate how understanding autism\, like developing a taste for sushi\, takes time\, openness\, and a willingness to embrace new perspectives. We’ll begin with a sushi lunch\, followed by a meaningful and engaging conversation with Kuri about her book\, parenting experiences\, and lessons she’s learned. \n \nAccommodations: None \n \nOrganization: Bender JCC of Greater Washington \n \nLivestream or Virtual: No\, it’s not
