SUMMARY:Fund Our Futures Campaign Kickoff with Jews United for Justice
DESCRIPTION:In a just world\, all people — no matter the color of our skin\, where we are from\, or how much money we have — would have what the Torah calls dei machsoro\, resources sufficient for our needs. But in DC\, the people and corporations with the most money are not paying their fair share to help meet the needs of their neighbors. We have a chance to change that this fall so DC can fund an ambitious agenda when the new Mayor takes office in January. Join JUFJ’s Fund Our Futures campaign kickoff to be part of the movement to pass a wealth tax this year and shape the actions we can take together. \nFrom education to housing to paid leave to public transit\, the things that we need to have a bright future are all within reach\, if we have a tax system that recognizes and taxes wealth. JUFJ and our partners want to make sure the Council acts with real vision and shows the new Mayor that they can be a partner\, not an opponent\, as we build the DC we all deserve. \n \nAccommodations: ADA Accessible Venue \n \nOrganization: Jews United for Justice \n \nLivestream or Virtual: No\, it’s not
