DC Passover Guide 2020

Why is this Passover different from all others?

Well, this year, on top of the usual twice-dipped vegetables, matzah overload, maror sandwiches, and cozy cushion-lined chairs, we will probably be saying the Four Questions over Zoom (or FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Skype, you get the idea). This year, we might be cooking our own food, creating our own seder plates, and reading the Haggadah with friends and family virtually. Although the reason for having seder virtually is critical to the health and safety of all of us #stayhome, well, to be honest, it still kind of sucks.

But, let’s not harp on the negative. All of us at GatherDC are here for you in any way we can to help us celebrate Passover with meaning, connection, and delicious food. We will get through this together. We have culled together everything we can think of to help make this year’s Passover as effortless and joyful as possible – and will continue to update it throughout the next few weeks, so check back often.

If you have any questions or additions to this guide, please email allisonf@gatherdc.org or submit your Passover event to our calendar here.

Wishing you a happy, healthy, and meaningful Passover celebration.

Love,

The GatherDC Team
