Just announced: Effective early December, Sarah Arenstein will take over as Young Leadership Director at the Jewish Federation for Greater Washington. Sarah has been at JFGW since 2009, and if you’re one of the few folk in the community that hasn’t met her previously, you likely will meet her soon. As director, Sarah will “oversee Young Leadership’s efforts to engage young adults in the Jewish Federation through engagement, leadership development, and philanthropy.”
Sarah‘s new position comes on the heels of Casey Girard‘s decision to step down from her position at JFGW and join AIPAC (where she worked previously) as the Digital Media and Production Specialist. AIPAC rocks, and so does Casey, so it should be a good combination.
This official announcement came this morning from Avital Ingber, JFGW’s Chief Development Officer.
Sarah‘s advancement and Casey‘s departure represent the latest of many staff changes within the Young Leadership division at JFGW. In August, Lani Hart and Marissa Saltzman left and were replaced by Casey and Andy Kirschner. Two months later, Avital decided to stay with JFGW after it looked like she would leave.
