Starting next week, Sixth & I will be offering basic Judaism classes, intended for Jews and non-Jews alike. This 7-part series provides an overview of the Bible, Shabbat ritual and observances, how to observe kashrut (kosher dietary laws), and the Jewish laws of death and mourning.
This comprehensive program will be led by Bernice K. Weiss, author of Converting to Judaism – Choosing to be Chosen: Personal Stories. Rabbi Weiss, who has been in the field for almost two decades, is a forerunner in the field of conversion and teaching interfaith couples.
